Wisconsin: “Labor Day parade organizers confirm that no Republicans will be allowed to participate in this year’s Labor Day Parade”

That 'new tone' that liberals demanded of conservatives after the Giffords shooting in January has manifested itself in actions from the left as well as words. From Ann Althouse via Instapundit: “Labor Day parade organizers confirm that no Republicans will be allowed to participate in this year’s Labor Day Parade.” Check this out:
"[Marathon County Labor Council] president Randy Radtke says they choose not to invite elected officials who have 'openly attacked worker's rights' or did nothing when state public workers lost most of their right to collectively bargain."

From Congressman Sean Duffy's chief of staff: "Having walked in this parade in past years, Congressman Duffy was hoping that for a moment, we could set our differences aside and simply have some fun in a family-friendly event."

The money quote:
"It's coming! Get ready! All you fucking tea-party-baggers. It's coming. Get ready."
The 'new civility,' front and center.

Ron Paul: "Let The People Who Have Lived Beyond Their Means Go Bankrupt. Let The Liquidation Occur"

And while we're at it, let municipalities, states, and the federal government go bankrupt since they insist living beyond their means, and ours, is actually a good thing.
As Margaret Thatcher was quoted as saying, "the problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money." And indeed we have. Related: Coinage Craziness
It takes money to make money — and it takes the federal government to squander money by making it. Even the moonbat media is starting to notice the outrageous waste:

Al Gore: Global Warming Skeptics this Generation’s Racists

From Mediaite via memeorandum, the goreacle pulling the race card:
Al Gore pushed the rhetorical envelope yesterday when he compared skeptics of climate change to racists during the Civil Rights Movement. Gore was sitting down for an interview with Alex Bogusky of the Climate Reality Project, and suggested that young people today whose parents do not believe in climate change are asking the same questions now that race-conscious young people in the 60s asked their parents.

Algore: Jumping the shark
Gore explains:
“There came a time when racist comments would come up in the course of the conversation and in years past they were just natural. Then there came a time when people would say, ‘Hey, man why do you talk that way, I mean that is wrong. I don’t go for that so don’t talk that way around me. I just don’t believe that.’ That happened in millions of conversations and slowly the conversation was won.”
In some circles, according to Gore, just using the words “climate change” is considered taboo, as was the case with Southerners bringing up racism. The interviewer suggested the comparison may not be quite accurate, considering the scientific evidence available for global warming. However, Gore suggested that there is a moral component that both arguments share.

Later in the interview, Gore addressed comments made by Rick Perry about climate change, and saw his remarks as part of “an organized effort to attack the reputation of the scientific community as a whole.”
“It’s not in [scientists'] nature to get ready to constantly defend themselves against political attacks. That’s not want they expected to be doing in their lives.”

UPDATE:Major Garrett Lays into Al Gore and Global Warming Hysterics
In a candid and revealing interview with Dennis Miller, National Journal's Major Garrett recalls the imperious, arrogant and condescending bearing of Al Gore as a Senator. Garrett believes that his recent statements comparing global warming skeptics to racists are a reflection of that same attitude.

Pic of the Day: Jobs underDemocrat vs GOP Congressional control

I've posted many such graphic the last couple of years, but it bears repeating:

To be fair, the Democrat-controlled Congress of 2007 didn't cause the mortgage meltdown. Democrat policies going back to the 1970s (the community reinvestment act of Jimmy Carter that was put on steroids by Bill Clinton in the 90's) did, and many of those Democrats (I'm talking to you Barney Frank) are still there destroying what has made America great.

RINO Colin Powell Off of Hopeium, Not Yet Decided on Supporting Obama Re-Election in 2012. Wants to see his Skin Color Next Year First

Colin cancer: the disease known as liberalism once it spreads to those that would call themselves Republicans and metastasizes
What exactly did Powell think was going to happen when he supported the most radical liberal candidate for the Office of the President on the history of the United States in 2008? Fiscal responsibility? Reining in of spending? Entitlement reform? The fact that he supported Obama because of his skin color makes him a racist as much as a moron. Which is interesting since he's not coming out in support of hopey changey for next year. Via memeorandum: Powell Not Sold on Obama in '12
Former Secretary of State Colin Powell, who famously crossed party lines to vote for President Obama in 2008, said today that he’s not necessarily supporting the president for reelection in 2012.

“I haven’t decided who I’m going to vote for,” Powell said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “Just as was the case in 2008, I am going to watch the campaign unfold. In the course of my life I have voted for Democrats, I have voted for Republicans, I have changed from one four-year cycle to another.

“I’ve always felt it my responsibility as a citizen to take a look at the issues, examine the candidates, and pick the person that I think is best qualified for the office of the president in that year. And not just solely on the basis of party affiliation,” he said.
But solely on the basis of race is AOK.After all, what qualifications of Obama could Powell possibly put up as worthy of a vote? And one over Mr. Moderate and fellow RINO John McCain. More from Michelle Malkin and Scared Monkeys. Lastly, the video of the racist RINO:

Obama's illegal uncle ‘Omar ’arrested; hits cop car, tries to call White House

From The Washington Times via memeorandum: Obama's illegal uncle arrested; ‘Uncle Omar’ hits cop car, tries to call White House. Check the update:
The Australian is reporting that Onyango Obama has retained Cleveland lawyer Margaret Wong. This is the same immigration attorney who successfully represented Mr. Obama's sister Zeituni, when she managed to avoid deportation to Kenya. Mr. Obama pleaded not guilty at his remand hearing.
And the prior story:
A number of media outlets have already reported that an illegal immigrant from Kenya by the name of Onyango Obama, 67, was arrested last week on Wednesday after he nearly rammed his SUV into a police car in Framingham, Massachusetts.

He was later charged with DUI among other violations. I spoke to Framingham Public Information Officer Lieutenant Delaney who told me that when Onyango Obama was asked at booking if he wanted to make a telephone call to arrange for bail, the Kenyan immigrant replied: "I think I will call the White House."

Gallup: Obama Job Disapproval Hits High Of 55%. Approval Hits Low Of 38%

Via Gallup:
Plus, from Rasmussen: A new low: 29% give Obama good or excellent marks on economy
Fifty-one percent (51%) give Obama poor marks on the economy. That’s up a point from a week ago and the most pessimistic assessment of his economic performance to date…

On national security issues, 42% give the president good or excellent marks, while 34% rate his performance as poor. That’s similar to the ratings earned in April before Osama bin Laden was killed. Following that event, 53% gave the president positive marks in the national security area. That fell back to 46% a month ago.
How's that hopey chagey working out for all of you rubes?

UPDATE: Via Instapundit:
POLITICO: Poll: Obama loses ground with white voters, women, liberals. He’s losing ground with just about everybody except blacks.
UPDATE #2: Also via Insty, an update on that last assertion:
I SAID EARLIER THAT OBAMA WAS LOSING SUPPORT EVERYWHERE BUT WITH BLACKS, BUT I WAS WRONG: African American support waning for Obama. “A Gallup poll last week found Obama’s poll numbers in the African American community down from its once stratospheric 95 percent approval early in his term, to a still-high, but notably lower 81 percent — tying his worst ever showing from earlier this year. . . . Observers say weaker support for Obama owes to a faltering economy that at 16 percent unemployment for blacks — nearly double the national average of nine percent — has hit the African American community especially hard.”
