I don't get it. A convicted cop killer growing old on death row for a college kid's entire lifetime, after many appeals and reviews of evidence, gets a painless lethal injection and liberals are outraged. These same liberals have absolutely zero compassion or empathy for babies being dismembered while conscious and in fact will vehemently defend the procedure even though the baby's only crime is existing at all. Barring a minor miracle, inmate Troy Davis of Georgia will die by injection today, despite high-profile support from the pope, former President Jimmy Carter, a former FBI director and many others who believe Davis was wrongly convicted of killing an off-duty Savannah police officer in 1989.

It was iffy after the Pope and FBI director came out. But with Jimmy Carter, well- now there's a reason not to execute a convicted cop killer.

On Tuesday, Georgia's pardons board rejected a last-ditch clemency plea. Now, the state may well execute an innocent man -- or at least one whose guilt is subject to reasonable doubt.

For the record, the Detroit Free Press editorial board is stacked top to bottom with pro-aborts that have no problem with the physical tearing apart of innocent babies limb from limb, which makes this next part especially ironic:

...Given the circumstances, Davis' execution will be especially barbaric. It will further discredit the entire criminal justice system and the death penalty itself, which is imposed disproportionately on poor people, African Americans and Latinos.

They're correct about the death penalty being imposed disproportionately on poor people and blacks, but it is done so via abortion, not capital punishment. One million babies will lose their lives this year alone, disproportionately poor and black. Compared to a few dozen criminals that perpetrated most heinous acts against their fellow man. Mumia Abu-Jamal killed Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner. Leonard Peltier murdered FBI agents Jack Coler and Ronald Williams. Liberals enthusiastically supported both of them. Now, the latest liberal cause célèbre is Troy Davis, who shot police officer Mark MacPhail to death in a crowded Burger King parking lot.

We have a justice system that is already ridiculously slanted against the death penalty. It usually takes decades of appeals and retrials to put anyone to death, no matter how ironclad the evidence is against him. Despite farfetched claims that large numbers of innocent men have been put to death, there's actually no solid evidence that an innocent man has been executed in this country in the last fifty years. Of course, that doesn't stop people from making unproven claims to the contrary and backing it up with deliberately deceptive evidence. The only thing that proves is that if there's a market for anything, somebody will step up to provide it. Liberals don't like the death penalty; so they are desperate to find proof that innocent men have been executed and there are people who are willing to make money providing that evidence, no matter how far they have to stretch to deliver it.

Very few bloggers out there today are pointing out the utter depraved hypocrisy in demanding life for murderers, but death for innocent babies. Why is that?

Truther Tony Bennett claims to be a pacifist, but

“The Germans were frightened. We were frightened. Nobody wanted to kill anybody when we were on the line, but the weapons were so strong that it overcame us and everybody else.”

Bennett credited the Army with allowing him to study singing under the GI Bill. He also admitted that his two years of service gave him enough time to witness the horrors of war.

“The first time I saw a dead German, that’s when I became a pacifist,” he said.

He told Stern that he was left forever shaken by the sight of death.

“It was a nightmare that’s permanent,” he said. “I just said, ‘This is not life. This is not life.’”

Apparently, pacifist Tony Bennett  doesn't extend the same empathy he had for German Nazis to unborn babies. Turns out, Bennett is a supporter of Obama - who not only has never come out against any form of abortion whatsoever, but with his vote defended outright infanticide as an Illinois Senator, 4 times protecting what is termed live birth abortion where crying babies were left in soiled linen closets to die. When the power went out one time for hours and we were all explicitly instructed NOT to open the freezer where all of the medical waste was stored (read: dead baby parts in bio-hazard bags) but inevitably, someone did open that freezer and I will never, ever forget the stench of decaying human flesh for as long as I live — but we all laughed as we gagged and joked how at least “they” had it better in that non-functioning freezer because at least they couldn’t smell it.

Just as even unborn babies have souls, even the monsters who dismember them have a sense of humor.

Stupid: FL Couple Gets $4.5M For "Wrongful Birth" Because Doctor Didn’t Suggest Abortion

A Florida couple will receive $4.5 million after winning a wrongful birth lawsuit claiming their son, born with no arms and one leg, should have become a victim of abortion. They complained the doctor in the case should have detected the physical disabilities before birth and suggested an abortion.

Ana Mejia and Rodolfo Santana filed suit in regards to the birth of their son Bryan, who is now a happy three-year-old boy. They asked a Palm Beach County Circuit Court jury for the money to be able to raise their son by requiring a Palm Beach Gardens obstetrician and the medical company she works for to pay $9 million towards the costs of his upbringing and damages for their pain and suffering.

Dr. Marie Morel and OB/GYN Specialists of the Palm Beaches were found to have failed to diagnose the disability and the jury awarded the couple $4.5 million. They determined that Morel was 85 percent responsible and the ultrasound tech 15 percent responsible for not informing the parents of the problems during the pregnancy.

...During the two week trial, Mejia and Santana both indicated they would have opted for an abortion had they known the severity of the physical disabilities of their son.

Well this is going to over great with the kid in a few years when he learns to use a search engine.  Most kids have issues with their parents not allowing them to sty up past a certain hour. This one will know that mom and dad wanted him dismembered and sued because they didn't. Good grief. Canadian Judges Expand Abortion Rights Into 4th Trimester

An Alberta judge has let a woman who strangled her newborn son walk free by arguing that Canada’s absence of a law on abortion signals that Canadians “sympathize” with the mother.

“We live in a country where there is no protection for children in the womb right up until birth and now this judge has extended the protection for the perpetrator rather than the victim, even though the child is born and as such should be protected by the court,” said Jim Hughes, national president of Campaign Life Coalition.

Katrina Effert of Wetaskiwin, Alberta gave birth secretly in her parents’ downstairs bathroom on April 13, 2005, and then later strangled the newborn and threw his body over a fence. She was 19 at the time.

She has been found guilty of second-degree murder by two juries, but both times the judgment was thrown out by the appeals court. In May, the Alberta Court of Appeal overturned her 2009 murder conviction and replaced it with the lesser charge of infanticide.

On Friday, Effert got a three-year suspended sentence from Justice Joanne Veit of the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench. As a result, she was able to walk out of court, though she will have to abide by certain conditions.

On 911, We Mourn The Loss Of 3,000 Innocent Lives 10 Years Ago. Let's Not Forget The Other 50 Million Americans That Met Just As Bad An End

Like so many other Americans today, I am remembering 911 and the tragic loss of life on that fateful day 10 years ago. 3,000 people. Smashed. Burned. Splattered on the pavement when forced to jump from a firestorm. Pulverized in Pennsylvania. Who knows how many were butchered on the airplanes with boxcutters and improvised tools. On the order of an hour, 3,000 Americans had their lives snuffed out.

The entire country shuttered and wept at the senseless loss. But an even greater tragedy should be remembered also. Not just on this day but always. It should be remembered that 50 million babies have lost their lives since the Roe v Wade SCOTUS decision that was nothing short of judicial fiat. Just to put that into perspective, that is equivalent to 1,700 911 attacks. Not long ago, the World Wildlife Fund ran into a firestorm of controversy when an ad it approved went viral on the internet (World Wildlife Fund Ad Exploits 9/11 Terror Attack - Part 2: The Video):

The ad is insensitive to 911 because it equates one thing with another, minus a logical connection. With the loss of so many of our unborn to nothing short of butchery, there is a parallel to be made however. For one, the 3,000 Americans murdered on the day the towers fell didn't choose to die. But their killers did choose to murder them. As far as I know, not a single baby has been murdered because that's what the baby wanted. The horrific manner in which abortions are performed is nothing short of the barbarism on full display 8 years ago by madmen. Saline solution to burn the baby to death in the womb. Dismemberment. Mutilation. Ironically, beheading is a typical result. What remains of these babies is simply flushed down the toilet, like fecal matter.

For more scale, what would be our response if a terrorist attack occurred wiping out the combined populations of California, Washington and Oregon? Those 3 states combined have a population close to 50 million. If you wiped them all out, that is the scale of what abortion has done. Many of those 50 million would have had their own children by now, so the actual number of Americans that would be with us if not for their murder is substantially higher than the 50 million dead. If you prefer an example closer to home, 50 million is about the combined population of Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Arizona and Iowa. Better?

So let us always remember the tragedy of 911, but let us never forget another even greater tragedy occurring right here at home. In Michigan this month alone, more than 2,000 babies will lose their lives.

ObamaCare had nothing to do with healthcare. It had everything to do with control. Every bleeding heart story liberals were selling to the gullible establishment media was either false or grossly exaggerated. Take uninsured children for instance, an ironic topic since liberal are rabid pro-aborts and have went so far as to try and legalize infanticide as long as the child is young enough (a recap on that later). Surely few people would dispute that all children should have regular checkups, vaccinations and easy access to a doctor when they get an earache. For most of them, that means having health insurance.

Now, there's a good chance more of them will get it.

Michigan estimates that roughly 127,000 children have no health insurance. Virtually all live in households whose income exceeds the federal poverty level but have little or nothing left after rudimentary expenditures for food, shelter and clothing.

Some uninsured children have parents who can afford visits to the doctor's office but lie awake at night wondering what would happen if their child gets appendicitis or breaks an arm. Others live in parental denial and may end up in the emergency room for sore throats -- or worse, sore throats and other common ailments that have grown far more serious from lack of early treatment.

The good news for 90% of lower-income parents is that their families probably qualify for one of Michigan's two health insurance programs directed solely toward children. The good news for health care providers -- and public health in general in Michigan -- is that a coalition of interested groups is putting new muscle into trying to find those families and get their children signed up. Except for the best-off families who choose to self-insure, there is no reason for any child in Michigan to go without coverage.

This isn't a fruit of the Obama administration's landmark health care reform, or even the transition to it. The programs in question have existed for years. The no-cost option, Healthy Kids, is an arm of Medicaid that covers children in households slightly above the poverty level; children qualify even if their parents don't. The low-cost option -- at $10 a month -- is MIChild, which covers children in households where incomes are 150% to 200% of the poverty level. That can be as high as $44,000 for a family of four.

Towers Watson also found in a survey completed last month that an additional 20 percent of the companies are unsure about what they will do.

It's even worse for small businesses. Question 6) should the mom have claimed that the baby was smothered because she thought her child would have a bad quality of life and she was therefore performing a mercy on her baby? Irony: Pro-Aborts March In Detroit Against Youth Violence

In 2008, there were 6,365 abortions performed on Detroit residents. This is more than 25% of all abortions performed on Michigan residents even though the population of Detroit is less than 10% of the state's population. And these people that countenance this want to lecture us on the value of life? How exactly do abortion supporters preach against youth violence? Good grief:

UPDATE #2: White House: When Biden said he “fully understands” China’s one-child policy, he totally meant the opposite

This excuse wouldn’t fly for any other public figure in Washington, but when you remember that this is a guy who greeted Gabby Giffords by welcoming her to the “Cracked Head Club,” the idea that he means exactly the opposite of what he says doesn’t seem so implausible.

Maybe during that Democratic caucus meeting on the debt ceiling he really meant that tea partiers have acted like patriots?

As I mentioned in my previous post, I contacted the White House this afternoon for an explanation of Vice President Biden’s stunning remarks regarding China’s odious one-child policy. Moments ago, I received the following on-the-record statement from Biden’s press secretary, Kendra Barkoff:

“The Obama Administration strongly opposes all aspects of China’s coercive birth limitation policies, including forced abortion and sterilization. The Vice President believes such practices are repugnant. He also pointed out, in China, that the policy is, as a practical matter, unsustainable. He was arguing against the One Child Policy to a Chinese audience.”

Repugnant? This is the same guy that supported 4th trimester abortion (ie - infanticide) 4 times with his vote as an Illinois Senator.
