At a Congressional Black Caucus Town Hall a few days ago in Los Angeles, Jesse Jackson told the audience that the Fort Sumter Tea Party supports the Tenth Amendment, or as he calls it, the slave amendment. Because of this, their fight against the Tea Party is a Civil War struggle. He asks “are you with the Union or the states’ rightists?”The 10th amendment in fact has and had nothing to do with slavery despite activist judges and slave owners, who by the way also happened to be Democrats, insisting that it did. Funny that Democrats today still insist that it does.
