Bloomberg: Government "shouldn't be in the business of picking" one religion over another, and that's why I support the Ground Zero Mosque being built but not the Greek Orthodox Church that was destroyed in 911

This is just stupid. From Fox Nation, New Yorkers got the mayor they deserve:
In his fiercest defense yet of the mosque proposed near Ground Zero, Mayor Bloomberg declared yesterday that it must be allowed to proceed because the government "shouldn't be in the business of picking" one religion over another.

"I think it's fair to say if somebody was going to try, on that piece of property, to build a church or a synagogue, nobody would be yelling and screaming," the mayor said.

"And the fact of the matter is that Muslims have a right to do it, too." Read more at nypost.com.
But apparently not the Greek Orthodox Church. They don't have a right to build there, by the way. It's simply what liberals want. The liberals in government are pushing for the Ground Zero Victory mosque while quashing the rebuilding of a Greek Orthodox Church that was destroyed on 911. From USA Today a while back: Church left out of 9/11 renewal
Nine years after it was destroyed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the little Greek Orthodox church that stood across the street from the twin towers is farther away than ever from being rebuilt.

Slow progress toward a new home halted last year when the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which controls the Ground Zero site, broke off discussions with the church over where and how a new church would be built.
If Bloomberg is so concerned about government not choosing one religion over the other, why hasn't he weighed in on the Greek Orthodox controversy?
