Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said his department is investigating allegations that a janitor contracted to work at the Prevail Academy School impregnated an 11-year-old girl.

Wickersham released few details but confirmed Thursday an investigation is under way. The sheriff said no inappropriate activity occurred on school grounds.

...Wickersham said detectives are conducting interviews. The suspect, a 28-year-old Mount Clemens man, is not in police custody, he said.
