Good Grief: Obama "takes charge" at hurricane command center to do nothing about a problem that doesn't exist

Via memeorandum, ugh: Obama takes charge at hurricane command center. Oh he took command all right, or at least his handlers did - of a photo op:
And that was pretty much it. From the story:

US President Barack Obama warned the US east coast was in for a "long 72 hours" as he led his government's response to Hurricane Irene at a disaster command center in Washington.

Obama on Saturday chaired a meeting at the National Response Coordination Center (NRCC) set up at the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) headquarters in Washington, which is marshaling federal and local hurricane-relief efforts.
Um- what response? To what? From Yahoo! News: After Irene: Little damage seen in many places. Ironically, Irene was as hyped up as hopey changey was in 08. There's literally nothing to see. So Obama is 'leading' an effort do do nothing about a problem that doesn't even exist. More from Power LineLegal Insurrection, American Thinker, Outside the Beltway, Weasel Zippers and Scared Monkeys. And from The Other McCain:
he media are his “enablers,” as Fred Barnes says. And so we get the whole set-piece feature about Obama the Great Commander:
Killed bin Laden. Beat Qaddafi. Kicked a hurricane’s ass. Whatever.
UPDATE: Via moonbattery: Comrade Obama in Command
