Less than three weeks after his release from prison, former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick said he could win Detroiters' votes to become mayor again. On second thought, are Detroit voters indeed as stupid as Kwame insists? He may indeed have a point here. A video i have posted many times on this blog indicates that Detroiters were stupid enough to vote in another Detroit crook - Monica Conyers - simply because of her last name:
"I think if I go there and I run now, I win," Kilpatrick told the New York Times in a question-and-answer piece published on its website Friday. "I'm serious. I don't say that in arrogance or anything."
So perhaps Kwame does have a point here, albeit no hope since 1) he will eventually be in jail for the next 2,452years without possibility of parole (which in our current system means he will get out in 20), and 2) we passed a referendum to keep convicted crooks out of political positions in this state, a rule dubbed the Kwame Law.
Lastly, the obligatory "Obama loves Kwame" video:
Exit question: will Detroit religious 'leaders' continue to compare Kilpatrick to Jesus?:
